Paragliding at Bir Billing Himachal Pradesh- Bir billing is a famous paragliding spot in Himachal Pradesh. It is present in the Distt Kangra. Billing is the Paragliding Capital of India. Bir is the tehsil of subdivision baijnath.
The Bir-Billing area is a popular site for paraglider pilots, both Indians, and visitors from all over the world. The flying season is from September to October, with some flying also done in November. The village continues to host periodic international competitions and events.
The paragliding launch site is in the meadow at Billing (14 km north of Bir), at an elevation of 2400 meters, while the landing site and most tourist accommodations are in the village of Chowgan (also spelled Chaugan), on the southern edge of Bir. It’s a Paragliding ground where you Start Paragliding from Billing to Bir at the altitude of 5003 ft. The latest video on social media which gets high publicity was also from this site.
Price For Paragliding– It Costs 2500 INR for a single individual. With every person, there is a driver for the glider. you have to pay extra if you want pictures or video of your ride.

By Air
Gaggal airport is the nearest airport from Bir Billing, located at a distance of only 68 km from nearby Palampur. This airport is connected to Delhi through frequent flights.
By Train
Baijnath has its own Railway Station named Baijnath Paprola Railway Station which is connected to the major cities of Kangra. It is situated on the Pathankot- Jogindernagar Narrow gauge railhead and is linked with the cities like Pathankot, Kangra, and Palampur. there is no direct train for Bir as it is present in Himalayas.
By Road
Bir Billing is 68Kms from Gaggal, 50Kms from Dharamshala, 180 Kms from Manali, 200Kms from Shimla, 280 Kms from Chandigarh, 500km from Delhi and is connected through Government HRTC buses or private services. HRTC Volvo Bus is also available direct from Bir to Delhi Bus Stand Pathankot.
